Notes

Rice Variations:
  • Plain rice
  • Rice with cilantro and lime
  • Rice with a chicken flavor since this recipe has a pork and chicken kielbasa
Tips:
  • Keeping the juices adds to the flavor of the rice
  • Draining, rinsing, and drying the sausage before adding onions is a healthy approach
  • Mixing sausage flavors helps tone down the spiciness of the hot sausage
Serving Suggestions:
  • Can serve on a hoagie/large bun to make it different
  • Serve at a backyard gathering to provide something different from the regular hot dog and hamburgers people are used to seeing
  • A nice side dish for a potluck dinner gathering
